Aspirations of Olympic proportions

Today is the 10th of February, 2010.  That date actually means something to me today, and to many Vancouverites for that matter.  As I write, there are beams of light filling the clouds like giant flashlights in the fog.  You can see the spots and beams clearly over the water in English Bay.  Tomorrow torch bearers will carry the Olympic torch past thousands of us who will line the street.  It has taken me a while to get into the ‘spirit’ of things, but there is no denying it, the games are here! So, we are joining in the festivities in as many ways as we can.  It is a once in a life-time event, and I want to make sure that my kids have a good dose of it all, that is my olympic aspiration.

Over the next two weeks, I’ll post events and photos from a family perspective of Vancouver’s 2010 Olympic games!
